- The basic task of industrial evaporators is simply to remove water from a solution or a slurry by the process of evaporation.
- Another task that industrial evaporators perform is to transfer the heat energy from the heat source into the liquid inside the evaporator. To full fill this purpose, evaporators have a tubular heater called a shell and also a tube heat exchanger.
